FATE Biennial Conference 2009

Foundations in Art : Theory & Education (FATE) Biennial Conference 2009 is slated for Portland. This will be the first ever FATE conference held west of the Rocky Mountains and is sure to become a precedent for the future. The art faculty at Portland Community College (PCC) and Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) invite you to plan early for this spectacular event April 1—April 4, 2009.

FATE Produces Draft Guidelines for Definition of Foundations

At the recent FATE Conference in Milwaukee, an ad-hoc committee, headed by Ralph Larmann from the University of Evansville has developed a two page draft guidlines for the definition of foundation or core programs from an administrative and curriculum standpoint. This was presented at a FATE workshop and received many suggestions.

The ad-hoc committee will be presenting the draft docuemnt to the FATE board for approval. The guidelines are a conversational document and will change over time. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Ralph at rl29@evansville.edu
